Trailer: TheatreFragile's move-In to Hangar 21trailer from TheatreFragile on Vimeo. Masque workshop with Theatre FragileMasque – The discovery of the own faces I’m 12 and I’m 87 years old. I’m a man, I’m a woman. Sometimes I’m curious, sometimes I’m shy. Sometimes a giant, sometimes quite small. The mask The mask is a valuable instrument, to illuminate authenticity and presence. Facial expression and language are not superficial communication vectors anymore, only the body remains - not able to fool ourselves. The internationality In their work TheatreFragile searches for the encounter with the people of all ages. Freedom is the ability to move through the masque beyond the real ages. The overcoming of the own appearance opened a new sense of self-esteem. The workshop is the exchange and encounter. Registration at kulturteam@detmold.de Let's go to the Hangar 21!
With our masks, flying fishes and floating houses we are moving to Detmold and want to invite you to celebrate with us!

Residence of Theatre Fragile in Hangar 21 - Interviewee soughtThe german-french theatre company “Theatre Fragile” has shown the premiere of their play “We met in paradise” on the European Street-Theatre Festival 2010, which has impressed the audience deeply. Theatre Fragile plans a new piece for the festival in 2012. From 18. – 28. Oktober 2011,Theatre Fragile is for a residence in Hangar 21/ Detmold. They want to develop their new production, which will have premiere on the European Streettheatre Festival 2012 in Detmold. The subject of the new piece with the working title “Home” is the question of home: In consequence of the increasing mobility, people from all social strata give up their homes in short or long term, because of political, professional or private reasons. Which strategies develop the people to create a home, to create a new, temporary or permanent home? The French philosopher Bachelard writes: “To be human means to live”. But what makes a home? About these and other questions, Theatre Fragile like to lead interviews with people from Detmold. They look for people, who travel a lot, who have recently a new home or with no fixed abode. The interviewes take place by individual arrangement between 19th and 28 october 2011 and last about half an hour. The questions are simple, everyone has his/her own personal answer and exactly these personal answers are interesting for the documentary work of Theatre Fragile. If you are interested in an interview about your “Home” history or have any further questions, you can write an email to Theatre Fragile (zuhause(at)theatre-fragile.com) or by phone or email to the KulturTeam Detmold/ Sabine Kuhfuss +49 5231 977921 or s.kuhfuss(at)detmold.de .
